SHELLY HINES served with the Red Cross as a Donut Dolly during the Vietnam War.  Her travels by helicopter  took her throughout Vietnam to remote bases where she and her fellow dollies entertained the troops, uplifted their spirits, and reminded them of their life back home

Julie Najar and Kathy Sanders from Soldiers Wish List​ delivered an assortment of home baked goodies for the members. Julie gave a brief history of the founding of her organization and thanked the Chapter for our support throughout the years.

Navy veteran, Steven Ward received a high tech electric wheelchair equipped with a lift mechanism. Steven is a member of American Legion Post 400. The wheelchair was donated to Chapter 1028  by President Dan Crowe's cousin. Thanks to the Crowe family for this life changing piece of equipment.

At the November 4th monthly meeting representatives from the Lutheran Senior Services spoke about the opportunities and services provided by the Christian organization for senior Veterans.

On most Wednesdays (except meeting days), members of Chapter 1028  get together for an informal breakfast at Bob Evans Restaurant in Valley Park, MO.  Approximately 20 - 30 member arrive at their door when they open at 6:30 A.M.
